The walking group, Bees Knees , resumed activities on 4th June with a lovely guided walk of 3.5 miles along the smuggler's route at Vereley Hill near Burley. Ali Browne regaled us with smuggler's tales and showed us key points on the route used by them including their "warehouse" in Ridley Woods. We managed to avoid the threat of rain and it was great to see everyone in person again.
