Stanpit Walk -15th February 2019

Updated: Apr 1, 2019

Stanpit Nature Reserve / Christchurch

We began the walk from Stewart’s Garden Centre, with Sarah leading the walk. There were 22 of us and the weather couldn’t have been better, lovely and sunny. The walk was almost 5 miles and Sarah had a lot if very interesting information for us along the walk.

We passed Totton’s Well, which is the source of pure water sold as ‘The Christchurch Elixir’.

There was lovely views across Stanpit Marsh of Christchurch Harbour and Hengistbury Head. The marsh was beautiful and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

On return we had refreshments at the garden centre.
