November Member's Zoom Meeting

Jacquie welcomed everyone to the meeting (including some first time zoomers) and introduced Jo May, our speaker for the evening. Also joining us was Eleanor, who is writing articles for WI Life about how institutes have embraced Zoom during the current restrictions. The scheduled cocktail evening has not been cancelled, just postponed until such time as lockdown restrictions are eased sufficiently for us to be able, at least, to gather in groups indoors.

Jo May then took to the stage and thoroughly entertained us for an hour. We learnt a few basic techniques for playing the spoons; we may not be up to forming an orchestra and performing in public but we were proficient enough to accompany a chorus of “Happy Birthday” to our President.

The next meeting will be our Christmas meeting on 15th December 2020 at 7.30pm on Zoom when we will be entertained by Jane Glennie who will recount "Violet's Titanic Escape". Our Grand Christmas Draw will also take place.
