Over last weekend Easter “goody bags” had been delivered by Committee volunteers to every member. Included were items needed for our very first online sewing project. Claire Curtis was our tutor and she patiently guided us through simple instructions to make lavender scented decorative hearts.
Another gift was an envelope containing sunflower seeds with instructions for getting them started now that some warmer weather is (hopefully) on its way. There will be a competition, to be judged at a late Summer date – get growing and watch this space!
We moved on to a montage of 19 beautiful entries to the Spring flower arrangement competition and, thanks to Lorraine’s continued mastery of all things Zoom, we were able to cast an instant vote for the winning entry. Congratulations to Betty Verney and Chris Hollingshead who received 9 votes each and were awarded a small prize.
Ali Browne presented an Easter themed quiz and congratulations go to Sue Broadhurst who scored a perfect 15.
Our second video montage was the 12 entries to the Easter Bonnet Competition – all very accomplished and impressive. The runaway winner in the instant vote was Amanda Harris.
