Bees Knees Walk-Dur Hill

A lovely walk was had by all on Friday 16th July in glorious sunshine out in the New Forest. Starting from Burbush car park Alison Browne led us to Dur Hill recounting the local fable of the the dragon which terrorised locals. It was slain by a villager and his dogs but alas - there were no signs of dragon bones or green blood.

We passed "Brown Loaf" which is an ancient burial mound with an unusual shaping indicating it was someone of high rank. On returning to the start point we all enjoyed a picnic and a chat.
