Contact: Amanda Harris

11th April  2019 saw the first proper gardening for the Blooming Bees . As many of you may know we have taken responsibility for the garden around the Indian War Memorial in Barton also the large shrub bed and three planters located nearby. After we had our health and safety brief from Mark at New Milton Town Council we donned our hi vis jackets and got started clearing up. Its going to take a while to sort out what we want to plant but we are on our way. A busy couple of hours and it looked ship shape again. Then over the road to the newly opened Bijou Coffee House for a bit of refreshment. Keep watching the spaces and we hope you will see some changes soon. New Milton/Barton is in the Finals of Britain in Bloom and judging is in July so we hope to have it looking fabulous by then.

Next outing- 7th May 2019 to Furzey Gardens. Meet in the car park at 2.00pm
